Ensure fair grading for GCSE students in 2023

Petition Details

We want the Government to work with Ofqual to ensure that students are graded as generously as they were in 2022, to reflect the disruption caused by covid-19.

Additional Information

I feel strongly that students have missed out prime learning time over the course of year 8 and sections of year 9. COVID-19 has effected numerous important aspect to education and gaps in learning could mean many students will find some topics more challenging in the exams.

For 2022, Ofqual has created a grade distribution that is generous compared to 2019. We want the same arrangements to apply to 2023.
