Extend the Help to Buy Isa Scheme
I want the Government to extend the completion of a new build date to be extended. It was announced in June 2022 that the help to buy ISA scheme was ending and that the house had to be completed by 31st December 2022. This only allows 6 months for a house to be built in time.
I want to government to change this as when the Help to Buy isa was set up it was stated that it can be used till 2030. This has been drastically reduced to 6 months time. There are a lot of people out there including myself who have saved for years with only having the chance to put £200 limit away a month to all of a sudden not having the chance to own a home. This is an unfair decision and something needs to be done about it.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We're not aware of any plans to end the Help to Buy ISA until 2030. You can read the latest here

The Help To Buy Equity Loan scheme is due to end this year, but this is seperate to the ISA scheme.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
