Petition Action

Make all primary students do at least 5 pages of homework a week.

Petition Details

To make it mandatory for all primary school students to do at least 5 pages of homework a week.

Additional Information

To educate small children further, and so they can be ready for primary school, as I have heard lots of year 7s being overwhelmed by homework. It also helps small children organise, which prepares them for further skill and further life.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do. We're not sure what you'd like 'at least five pages of homework' to cover.

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do, such as simply making homework required for all primary students in England, or a time requirement.
