Monitor a person known to Child Services when joining a family with children
To maintain combined Social Service & Mental Health support checks for parents previously known to Child Services when joining a family as a step parent. If already known to Child Services creating a non stigmatised process where MH can be monitored & supported within a blended family construct.
Parenting can be tough, parenting when Mental Health is low can be a real challenge & requires compassionate support. Different parenting styles clashing makes for a difficult process for a blended family to positively form. Positive Mentorship of children can be compromised. Family Conflict creates poor Mental Health for all and in extreme cases can create an opportunity for harm. To minimise impact & harm a Child Service known individual to be supported when joining a family with Children.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We understand that you are concerned about the welfare of certain children, but we're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do. People are not required to declare when they enter a relationship with someone who has children, so it's not clear how child social services would be aware of the situation you outline in your petition.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
