UK referendum to agree on splitting of assets/liabilities if Scotland votes for independence
If Scotland votes for independence from the UK, any final legal agreement on the separation between the remaining members of the UK and Scotland should require a referendum of the population of the UK to approve - the Westminster politicians would have no mandate for signing an agreement on asset/liability sharing.
