Grant a section 30 order as requested by Scotland's elected government.
Respect the will of the Scottish electorate, who have voted in a government with a mandate to hold a Scottish independence referendum in this Scottish Parliament term.
The United Kingdom that Scotland voted to remain in, in 2014, has dramatically changed. It is for the people of Scotland to decide their own future, and the timing, in a democratic manner. The Smith Commission states
"18. It is agreed that nothing in this report prevents Scotland becoming an independent country in the future should the people of Scotland so choose."
The people if Scotland have chosen a government with a mandate to hold an independence referendum, and this should be respected.
