Rename Religious studies GCSE to Cultural studies and ethics GCSE

Petition Details

Religious Studies encompasses so many topics and is often not viewed as a good choice of GCSE as assumptions are made about the pupils taking it as an option. If renamed Cultural Studies and Ethics, it could be seen as more representative and inclusive.

Additional Information

The name of this GCSE can be off-putting to some students, and gives an incomplete impression of the course content and the interests of those who study it. We believe a name change could help address this.
