Petition Action

Make TFL trains accessible

Petition Details

Adapt train stations to be more accessible for the disabled community

Additional Information

I want the government or parliament to do it, as I suffer from a disability and I use public transport a lot. However, sometimes I cannot go to certain areas as train stations aren't accessible

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

It is not the responsibility of Parliament or the Government to adapt or change accessibility requirement on TFL services. This would be an operational decision for Transport for London and the Mayor of London's Office.

You can find out more about how to start a petition to the London Assembly here: www.london.gov.uk/about-us/london-assembly/petitions

You could start a new petition calling on the Government to fund accessibility upgrades for the TFL network if this is something you would like to see happen.
