Promote more plus-size representation and clothing.
We would like clothing brands to supply sizes that go up to a minimum of size 18. We would like there to by a public announcement on this, to let the public know and to also spread awareness about the lack of clothing for plus-size people.
We want Parliament to do this as many plus-size people are unable to get clothing that is right for them, often having to look in multiple places just to get only 1 item of clothing. This is especially important as studies in 2019 show that 56% of the UK population are plus-size.
You can't sign this petition because it was rejected. But you can still comment on it here at Repetition.me!
The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We can only accept petitions about things the Government or Parliament are directly responsible for.
Decisions about what clothe sizes to produce and stock are a matter for clothing manufacturers and retailers, not the UK Government or Parliament.
