Men get more than 2 weeks paternity leave
Increase the time of paternity. Currently men only get 2 weeks
Men get 2 weeks to help their partner settle before returning to work. If their partner was to have for example a difficult birth or neonatal issues with the baby or mother, this just is not enough time to support them while they recover and feel safe to be alone with the newborn

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We understand that you want to see entitlements to paternity leave increased, but it's not clear what paternity leave entitlements you want fathers to have.
We have published the following petition, which you might like to sign:
Equalise paternity leave and pay entitlements with maternity leave and pay: petition.parliament.uk/petitions/615717
If you want paternity leave entitlements to be changed in a way different to the above petition you could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
