Set a maximum working temperature at the workplace

Petition Details

The Health and Safety Executive suggests the minimum temperature in a workplace should normally be at least 16 degrees Celsius, but there is no equivalent maximum in law or guidance. We want the Government to set a maximum working temperature for workplaces in law.

Additional Information

For the first time in history, the Government issued a red warning for heat, meaning the Government is well aware that hot temperatures are a threat. Therefore, they should be protecting the workers when they are exposed to extreme high temperatures at the workplace (outdoors and indoors).
