Online taxi companies to charge drivers who accept and then cancel an order
Drivers using companies such as Bolt, Uber, etc. should be charged for accepting rides and then cancelling on customers. It is too easy for drivers to cancel rides on customers once accepted. Drivers are not obliged to accept. Companies should agree to charge drivers for cancelled rides.
This is particularly dangerous for young adults using apps late at night on their own - an accepted ride should be a contracted agreement. Cancelled rides for customers face charges; the same should apply for drivers, especially considering the safety concerns of customers.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We can only accept petitions about things the Government or Parliament are directly responsible for.
Decisions about terms and conditions for taxi companies are a matter for individual companies, not the UK Government or Parliament.
