Prohibit cyclists using the road where a cycle lane is available
Roads around the country are being narrowed, providing dedicated lanes for cyclists to cycle. The Government needs to make it a legal requirement for cyclists to use cycle provisions, instead of cycling in the main roadway.
The narrowing of roads can make it difficult to pass cyclists in compliance with the Highway Code with reduced space for motor vehicles, whilst sometimes dedicated cycle lanes remain unused. This is a waste of taxpayers money.
