Require local authority to adopt new build housing estates.
Ensure that all new build housing estates are built to a standard that the local authorities can adopt after completion of the build. Ensure that home owners are not unfairly disadvantaged paying uncapped service charges alongside regular council tax.
The service charge imposed by management companies of a new build estates is uncapped and could potentially force households in to debt. Getting records of exactly where the money is being spent is difficult for leaseholders and the management companies have no obligation to share it with freehold properties meaning the money given to them could be used for purposes not in the interests of residents.

We can only accept petitions about things the Government or Parliament are directly responsible for.
Decisions about what roads form part of the local road network are a matter for individual local authorities and owners of private roads, not the UK Government or Parliament.
