Stop Energy companies from raising the 'Standing Charge' & ask them to lower it!
Standing Charge has risen exponentially which has nothing to do with the wholesale of energy. They are forcing customers to pay 80% more even if we don't use energy or gas. This is a scam! Stop energy companies from ripping off the British people! Force them to REDUCE the 'Standing Charge'
Energy Companies are scamming the British people with the unjustified increase in the Standing Charge. It has nothing to do with the wholesale of energy and now we pay twice regardless of the electricity and gas that we consume. It's a shame!

Decisions about standing charges are a matter for utility providers and Ofgem, not the UK Government or Parliament. The price cap is a cap on a unit of gas and electricity, with standing charges taken into account.
