Scrap standing charges on gas and electricity bills
I believe standing charges could be scrapped to reduce energy bills
And i think the government could do this quickly to help people

Decisions about standing charges are a matter for utility providers and Ofgem, not the UK Government or Parliament. The price cap is a cap on a unit of gas and electricity, with standing charges taken into account.
