Allow people the age of 13+ to drive
Allow people the age of 13+ to drive at a young age. They must have a black box to make sure they don't do anything irresponsible while driving and also take much stricter tests. Any unsafe driving will have worse punishments than usual so they can learn.
I think this should be done so children with parents who can't take them to school / unable to get a bus can just simply drive to school. Some people will also really want to have the experience of driving and can't wait until they are 17.
You can't sign this petition because it was rejected. But you can still comment on it here at Repetition.me!
The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We understand you'd like people to be legally able to drive from the age of 13, however it's not clear how the proposed 'black box' would work i.e. what it would do that would prevent young drivers from doing "anything irresponsible".
You could have a petition calling for the legal driving age to be reduced to 13, and for certain requirements to be placed on manufacturers to make their cars safer to drive for young people, so long as it was clear what those requirements were.
