Petition Action

To remove the ability of MPs from selling off/privatisation of public assets

Petition Details

As the privatisation of the public infrastructure has proved,it's not working in private hands, the public want the authority to reject governance of public sector organisations from running our infrastructure,we want full public ownership of all infrastructure once more, privatisation is not working

Additional Information

Privatisation is not working for the public,it has become a profit exchange, not a public sector role,we want this back,we also want to refuse the ability of public assets to be sold off, without correct information provided, without full public authority on sales, without these and a general vote on this situation, they will not occur,we also want a full inquiry into the sale of our infrastructure, the legally of this against the public purse, and the ability to receive compensation of lost funds.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We're not sure if you want the Government to renationalise all industries that were previously publicly owned, introduce new restrictions on the sale of public assets, or do something different.

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.

We have published the following petitions, which you might like to sign:
