The new threat from Russia and China requires us to respond appropriately and reverse cuts made to troop numbers as well as to support humanitarian efforts.
Troop numbers have been steadily declining over the decades and we are in no shape to fight a global war, or any war for that matter, at this time and more funding is needed to get us up to scratch. We also require better technology and soldiers on the ground to be able to deal with humanitarian efforts in countries affected by natural disasters and on peacekeeping missions.
