Oppose the BBC ending its classified football results on radio after 70 yrs.
This is a British tradition going back many decades. The BBC is the UKs custodian of sport and culture. It’s important to millions of fans. It’s as important as the queens speech to many.
Intervene to keep the tradition going.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Decisions about BBC radio content are a matter for the BBC, not the Government or Parliament.
The BBC is an independent body governed by a Royal Charter. Under the terms of that Charter, the BBC is operationally and editorially independent of government and there is no provision for the Government to intervene in the BBC’s day-to-day operations.
This means the Government is not responsible for decisions relating to BBC radio coverage.
