Pay all people the same way when getting help from the Government
I would like the Government not to differentiate how payments are made between employed people not entitled to any additional benefits and people receiving benefits when helping with the cost of living.
Everyone who receives help from the Government during these hard times should be allowed to use the help in a way that meets their needs.
Having £400 allocated to energy companies does not help people for example who are trying to get to and from work with additional fuel prices and spiralling food costs.
Either everyone has the funding allocated to the energy providers for the additional fuel costs or everyone has this paid directly to them. For working people could possibly be a rebate of tax.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We understand that you're concerned about how the Government is providing cost of living support, but we're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do.
It's not clear if you want the Government to pay the £650 cost of living payment to everyone, rather than just people entitled to certain benefits, or do something different.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
