Rule for creating space on highways for ambulances to faster reach accidents
In order to allow ambulances to reach accidents on highways faster, a rule should be introduced to create space for them to pass. I.e create space between right and middle lane, as it is common in other countries
I so often see ambulances being stuck in traffic on motorways when it is crucial for them to pass. In order to make them reach the accidents quicker, it would be helpful to have a general rule how cars should make space.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do. It's already the case that the Highway Code includes a rule relating to emergency vehicles

If you'd like that rule to be changed, you could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like to be different.
