We understand that profits are needed but when the UK people have to decide to feed their families or to turn on a light/heating. The profits are extortion

Additional Information

We want to government to stand up for the people and not for the companies

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

We understand that you are concerned about the profits that some companies are making and the impact of high costs on people. However, we're not exactly sure what action you'd like the Government or Parliament to take to stop utility companies from having high profits. You could start a new petition explaining what you'd like to happen. For example, you could start a petition asking the UK Government to increase its current energy profits tax.
