Make adultery and infidelity domestic abuse offences

Petition Details

I would like the Government to make adultery and infidelity criminal offences, in line with other forms of abusive behaviour set out in the Domestic Violence Act.

Additional Information

I would like unfaithful partners to be made more accountable for their actions. Having been a victim of infidelity, nothing can describe the thoughts and feelings that follow, other than emotional abuse.

Victims of adultery and infidelity can suffer physically, such as weight loss and even Sexually Transmitted Infections. Financial abuse can also be a concern if the unfaithful partner is visiting sex workers or spending money on other partners.
