Prohibit rickshaws from using cycle lanes in London
Change existing highway regulations to prohibit rickshaws from using cycle lanes in London
There appears to be an ever growing number of rickshaws using cycle lanes in central London. As rickshaws are generally wider than bicycles, there presence prevents overtaking by cyclists and is damaging to the general flow of traffic on cycle lanes. Cyclists are frequently being slowed behind rickshaws, slowing them down and potentially discouraging cycling throughout London more generally.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We can only accept petitions about things the Government or Parliament are directly responsible for.
Decisions about restrictions on who can use local roads in London are a matter for the Mayor of London and the London Assembly, not the UK Government or Parliament.
The London Assembly has its own petitions process. You can find out more about how to petition the London Assembly here: www.london.gov.uk/about-us/london-assembly/petitions
