Make free school meals free for all
With the current tough economic situation, things are becoming harder for everyone, including people who work. Many working parents, especially those on low incomes, are finding it tougher to feed their families, and are struggling even more to pay for school meals, especially if they have several
school aged kids. Some parents have therefore had to cut back on school meals, resulting in kids going hungry in school. This is detrimental for the children concerned as without a proper meal, they will struggle to concentrate in class, which in turn will impact them academically. I therefore petition the schools to provide free school meals for all, regardless of family income, so that our pupils will benefit from the healthy nourishment provided, and thus be able to perform better in school.
