Install slides in all London Underground stations
In order to speed the flow of passengers through busy London Underground stations, slides should be installed in place of elevators. Small prizes should be available for those reaching the bottom in the fastest time. These would be paid for out of the savings of not having to maintain and operate down escalators.
A separate petition will be submitted calling for the replacement of up escalators with catapults.
The government should:
- alter Health & Safety Gone Mad legislation as required
- Direct Transport for London to get a bleeding move on
- supply the very small amount of funding required to carry out the changeover.
- set a good example by using the slides regularly.
You can't sign this petition because it was rejected. But you can still comment on it here at Repetition.me!
The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
This is a matter for the Mayor of London and Transport for London
