A feasibility study into replacing the taxation system with a single tax.

Petition Details

Automate taxation by Introducing a compulsory tax on every financial transaction within the Uk. Even a figure of 1%, would produce billions, from an ice cream to a mansion, every transaction involved in their production would be included, effectively taxing the same money over and again.

Additional Information

I want to see future business thrive and freed from burdensome rules and regulations by using modern technology to automate the treasury.
The economy is currently broken. Highly qualified officials are trying fix it. The economy is complex and now has layers of bureaucratic departments trying to cover the cracks, costing billions in admin. It is outdated having been in operation for centuries and no longer fit for purpose. Please make it simpler. More details at www.actionforasimplerlife.com

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We understand that you're concerned about the current tax system, but it's not clear if you want the Government to replace the current system with a single tax on all transactions, or just conduct a feasibility study into this policy.

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
