Petition Action

Make the purple butterfly cot card and poster standard practice within the NHS

Petition Details

The Skye High Foundation set up the purple butterfly cot card and poster and we would like the
Government to make it standard practice in the NHS

Additional Information

The butterfly is vital to families that have lost a baby part of a multiple birth. The cot card is placed In the surviving babies cot so the family do not have to repeat their story in every staff change over. This will not cost the government to fund as The Skye High Foundation provide all the resources but the government have the power to make this a mandatory resource in every hospital.

Decisions like this are an operational matter for the NHS and individual NHS Trusts, which are operationally independent of the UK Government and Parliament.
