Turn off the heating in the houses of parliament in solidarity with the people
The Government will not have any heating in use in the houses of parliament or any politicians offices from the 1st of October to the 1st of April.
The Government has repeatedly declared we are all in this together and so as a show of solidarity with those people who will need to choose between heating and eating or neither during this cost of living crisis.
You can't sign this petition because it was rejected. But you can still comment on it here at Repetition.me!
The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We can only accept petitions about things the Government or Parliament are directly responsible for.
Decisions about heating of parliamentary and governmental buildings are an operational matter for those responsible for these workplaces, not a political decision for the UK Government or Parliament.
