Stop expenses for MPs for rent, bills and food - we pay it, so should they.
If the government expect someone on £20,000 to pay for rent, bills and food, then an MP on £86,000 should pay too. MPs should pay every penny of their rent, bills and food, just like the rest of us. The government won’t solve our problems until they experience the same problems as the rest of us.
The cost of living crisis is a non issue for MPs, because they don’t experience it. Experience it like the rest of us and I’m sure our issues will be solved far quicker. Majority of MPs are born wealthy and have second incomes - there is no reason not to pay bills like the rest of us, unless MPs are only in government for personal gain.
