Remove standing charges from gas and electric bills.
Make it illegal to charge standing changes on utility bills so customers only pay for the energy (or utility) they use. This is the case for water, oil and petrol, so there is no reason it cannot work for gas and electric.
To reduce energy bills for low energy users and provide a fairer pricing structure that encourages people to conserve energy and helps them through the energy crisis.
