The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

We're not sure what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do.

We understand you'd like a referendum on independence for the north of England, but we're not sure which area you'd like to be covered. Specifically, we're not sure what you mean by " if they would like to become northumbria again" as the historic area of Northumbria included part of Scotland and the current area commonly known as Northumbria is focused only on the north east of England.
