Commit to keeping the 48 hour Working Time Directive rules for all UK Workers

Petition Details

It's been reported that the Government might consider removing the 48 Hour Working Time Directive. The Government must commit to keeping this in place. We as UK working force need this protection. Specially for shift workers are working long hours & not receiving reasonable rest breaks

Additional Information

Current Government needs to keep this to protect UK workers from being exposed to work more & longer hours. People work to live & don't live to work, they need to have a reasonable working life & personal life balance between working & resting days. People who work a five day week must keep their 28 days paid holiday per year entitlement. 48hr Directive put employees in charge of hours worked not employers.
