Make it compulsory to Teach Britains colonial past and the effects it had.
Now more then ever With the Queens passing there are calls that the British return the jewels and diamonds back to their respective countries.
It is therefore important that students across the United Kingdom learn about the British empire and the negative effects of what British rule did to those countries.
By educating people on the events of the past we can all create a better future together one that.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We understand you would like for the teaching of Britain's colonial past to be made compulsory, but we're not sure if you would like this to be achieved through schools, colleges and through the national curriculum or through different ways.
If you would like to see changes to the history topics taught in schools you could start a new petition which explains clearly what you would like to see happen.
We have previously had a petition on this topic which closed in December 2020, which you might like to view.
