Force manufacturers to give clear warning message on washing machines and dryers
Help prevent accident related deaths to pets at home by making it mandatory for washing machine and tumble dryer manufacturers to apply a caution message on the outside of their machines for owners to check for pets inside the machines before operation.
Too many pet owners have lost their beloved pets due to a simple, yet avoidable mistake by not realising where their pets are. Olive was our 5 month old kitten who died tragically in our tumble dryer. This could have been avoided if the person responsible was educated on the risks. Too many manufacturers hide the warning in difficult to read manuals. Manufacturers need to make it clear that there can be a danger to small animals and people if not handled properly.
