Raise the tax allowance to £20000 before you pay Tax
This would take more people out of poverty and give them a better life.
I think the more money people have to spend will help the economy, extra taxation would be generated through 20%VAT because what normally happens is people will spend more if they have more spending power. The extra money people will be spending on VAT would be the equivalent to receiving 20% income tax.
