End driving license penalty points system
End the use of the driving license penalty point system and solely issue fines and re education courses
It’s not right for people to lose their license , their career and their livelihoods just because they made a small mistake, rather we should focus more on re educating them to make them more aware and safer on the roads .
Especially in times like these where families all over are struggling the last thing people should have to worry about is loosing there main source of income over a simple mistake.
Example ( 36 in a 30 down a quiet road late at night = 3 penalty points )

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We understand that you are concerned about existing arrangements for penalty points, but it's not clear if you want the Government to make it impossible for people to be disqualified from driving irrespective of what offences they have committed, or just remove provisions for a person to be disqualified where they have accumulated penalty points related to minor traffic offences.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
