The Leader of the Opposition to table a vote of no confidence in the government
Leader of the Opposition to state that the House has no confidence in His Majesty's Government. To table this in such a way as to ensure a vote of no confidence is held.
The current government's priorities are "to grow Britain’s economy, deal with the energy crisis caused by Putin’s war, and putting the NHS on a firm footing." The economic policies announced 23/09/22 have been met with such a significant domestic and international response that it is clear they will not achieve their stated outcome. The UK is on the brink of a financial crisis. Urgent steps are required to stabilise the economy. Parliament must act in the best interests of the public.
