"Parliament to erect a statue of Tony Benn outside the Commons Chamber "
The undersigned declare that on the passing of "Anthony Wegewood Benn", that the "House of Commons" should erect a life-sized statue to this significant political figure at the entrance to the chamber.
This should be erected to recognize his significant contribution to politics in the UK, and the dedication to his constituents in the Chesterfield seat.
A suitable epitaph should be completed by his peers and colleagues, and remind those who enter that the government should be afraid of the people, and they are there to serve the democratic process.

This is a matter for the House not for HMG
