Petition Action

Add an option to electoral ballot papers to record public vote of no confidence.

Petition Details

Provide constitutional change allowing representative democracy to reflect the will of the majority of the electorate by providing a voting category of "No confidence" which if selected must be counted as a valid vote giving an electable option enabling the voting public to withhold their mandate.

Additional Information

Encourage party politics, manifesto promises and government policy that people can vote for.

As opposed to the current practice of voting defensively against.

Voter turnout;

From this information it can be seen that a large proportion of the electorate is disengaged and so not represented.

The last 7 years shows me that government is increasingly incompetent, self-serving and fails to represent the majority interest.
