Call for the regulation of managing agents in the UK
The government need to modernise leasehold laws and the powers of managing agents and freeholders and give more rights to leaseholders including the ability to remove poor managing agents.
The arrangements between freeholders, leaseholders and managing agents needs proper regulation and a redress of the balance of power to leaseholders that they do not currently have.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We understand that you're concerned about existing legislation governing leasehold properties, but we're not sure exactly what new regulations you want the Government or Parliament to bring in.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
