The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We can only accept petitions about things the Government or Parliament are directly responsible for.
NHS staff who are deemed permanently incapable of their NHS employment are already entitled to early retirement. Decisions about whether an employee is permanently incapable of their NHS employment, including because of long-term effects of coronavirus, is an operational matter for individual NHS employers, not the Government or Parliament.
