Legislate for a UK inflation reduction act.
Begin the process for drafting legislate analogous to the US inflation reduction act.
The problems of energy poverty and help for marginalised communities are just as strong in the UK as they are in the US.
However we appear to see mostly short term budgeting solution.
The UK needs new institutions and govt support to structurally change the dependency of the economy on volatile fossil fuel supply chains.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We understand that you are concerned about inflation, but we're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do to bring inflation down.
The US Inflation Reduction Act contains measures relating to prescription costs, health insurance, energy costs, and taxes, all of which work in a different way to the UK. Your petition refers to 'new institutions' and structural change, but it is not clear what measures you want the UK Government to implement to bring down inflation.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
