Lower interest rates
To bring interest rates back to a manageable level, people have borrowed money, invested and set aside monthly allowances based on lending as it was and will struggle with the unforeseen burden of higher repayments. Those in business will have to increase prices to survive. Another inflation boost.
To avoid unnecessary hardship and allow people to stay afloat and not borrow more to make payments. To enable people to have a basic quality of life. A loan 5 years ago had a manageable repayment, this could treble and create devastating consequences for the basic earner.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We can only accept petitions about things the Government or Parliament are directly responsible for.
Decisions about interest rates are a matter for the Bank of England, not the UK Government or Parliament.
