Change the Standard Personal Allowance tax band in-line with inflation.

Petition Details

For the government to change the Standard Personal Allowance tax band from £12,570, to align it with the effect that inflation has on the general public.

For example, if inflation is at 10%, then the Standard Personal Allowance tax band should rise from £12,570 to £13,827.

Additional Information

With the significant increase in inflation the effects of the cost of living crisis, people across the country are finding it harder and harder to pay for necessities. By raising the Standard Personal Allowance, every tax-payer in the uk will have more money available to them during these difficult times.
