Ban the use of synthetic room fragrances in public places.
Synthetically produced fragrances are used in public places. Smoking is banned in public places due to the detrimental effects of synthetic anthropogenic aerosols. A ban should be placed on using synthetic products to fragrance the air in public places to avoid causing sensitivity and illness.
Those with respiratory issues e.g. asthma, emphysema, CPOD, pneumonia, bronchitis, lung cancer or an acute viral infection may be sensitive to synthetic anthropogenic aerosols. Studies show that synthetic room fragrances e.g. sprays, diffusers, candles, pot pourri etc cause symptoms such as breathing difficulties, headaches, sickness, neurological issues, skin irritation, mental debility etc and may cause permanent hormonal changes. The public have a right to breathe uncontaminated air.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We understand that you want certain fragrances to be banned, but it's not clear if you want this to only apply to synthetic fragrances, or any fragrances. Your petition refers to potpourri, which is not normally synthetic.
We also couldn't publish a petition that made unsubstantiated claims about the impact on human health of fragrances, synthetic or otherwise.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
