Bring in legislation entitling menstrual leave to those that need it.
Take steps to create legislation enabling people that suffer from painful periods to take menstrual leave from work when they need it.
Many Women, Transgender, and Nonbinary people experience severe period pain that can cause fainting and nausea and may affect them at work.
According to YouGov, 91% of women experience period pain and out of those that also work, 57% say it has affected their ability to work.
Spain has approved draft legislation entitling people with painful periods to menstrual leave when a doctor's note is provided.
The UK should follow suit and introduce legislation entitling people with painful periods to menstrual leave.
People that have periods should not have to use up sick days or holiday for painful periods, or be in severe pain at work.
