Withdraw the Retained EU Law (Revocation and Reform) Bill
The Government has introduced legislation that would revoke most EU retained law at the end of 2023. This includes regulations and legislation on areas such as workers’ rights, transport, finance and environmental protection.
Such changes must be subject to consultation with ALL stakeholders.
Brexit was touted as the enabler for the UK to be ‘the’ place to do business; to enable us to be more responsive to change. The planned Retained EU Law (Revocation and Reform) Bill is the next step of the Government's plans to cut perceived red tape. Changes to existing laws cannot go unchallenged.
This bill represents a potentially apocalyptic bonfire of essential, hard-won regulations and legislation, and it could further propel this country in an unedifying race to the bottom.
If you want to sign this petition (as opposed to merely discuss it), you need to do that on the government's e-Petitions website.
