Change the legal voting age from over 18s to over 16s
I would like the current voting age of 18 year olds and over to be lowered to 16 year olds and over to allow this category to vote in both general and local elections.
I think that this group is not listened to in the current political system and by allowing this group of people to vote MPs will be forced to listen to their views. I think GCSEs equip them with enough knowledge to be able to vote and understand the consequences of voting. The decisions being made today could have potentially drastic consequences on their future with decisions being made on the climate crisis that they do not get a day even though it is their future it will effect.
